Gothic Remake gets an exciting June release date, and Pre-Orders are now live

Gothic Remake Pre-order live

After years of anticipation, the Gothic Remake finally has a concrete release date. THQ Nordic has confirmed the game drops on 5 June for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, with pre-orders now live across all platforms.

PC players are looking at €49.99, which comes with the full soundtrack composed by returning series veteran Kai Rosenkranz, a nice touch for longtime fans. Console buyers pay a tenner more at €59.99, but get Gothic Classic bundled in, meaning you can play the 2001 original on modern hardware without tracking down an old copy.

Then there’s the Collector’s Edition at €199.99, loaded with physical goodies including a Sleeper wall mask, genuine leather wristband and notebook, the soundtrack, and the game. PC orders get a steelbook while stocks last; PS5 and Xbox buyers receive a physical Gothic Classic disc instead.

More than a fresh coat of paint

Alkimia Interactive has gone beyond a straight visual overhaul. The Gothic Remake introduces hours of new content, some of it revived from cut material, alongside a modernised combat system and new traversal options. Crucially, major story beats now trigger real changes in the world around you, something the original always struggled with.
