Remedy just confirmed Control Resonant has gone gold, over a month before it even launches. That’s the kind of confidence you don’t see often these days.
Going gold means the game is finished and ready to ship. Remedy announced it on X, and it’s a genuinely good sign this early out. With the sequel reportedly running almost twice as long as the 2019 original, that’s a lot of finished content sitting ready to go.
Control Resonant physical edition now arrives in October
It’s not all smooth sailing, though. Only the digital version is confirmed for release day. The physical edition needs a bit longer, and Remedy has now pushed it back to October 15, 2026. Not a huge delay, but if you were planning to hold a disc in your hands on day one, you’ll need to sit tight.
Pre-ordering still gets you the Hiss Corruption Outfits and the Pickpocket’s Tool Artifact, and the digital deluxe edition throws in extras like a digital artbook, the original soundtrack, the Untapped Artifact (Wallet), a Starter Resource Bundle, and the AWE Mission Outfit.

Going gold this early is a great sign. Just don’t expect the shelf copy to show up at the same time as everyone else’s download.
