Epomaker GX1 Brings Wireless Gaming Audio at a Friendly Price

Epomaker is expanding its gaming range with the new Epomaker GX1, a wireless gaming headset aimed at players who want useful features without spending too much. The headset is now available through Epomaker’s online store with an MSRP of $49.99.

The GX1 is Epomaker’s first wireless gaming headset. The company is already known for its mechanical keyboards, but it has recently started adding more gaming products, including mice and now headsets.

50 mm drivers and noise cancelling mic

The Epomaker GX1 uses 50 mm dynamic drivers with a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. It has an open-back over-ear design, which is intended to provide a more open listening experience while also helping air move around the ear cups.

For voice chat, the headset comes with a detachable boom microphone using environmental noise cancellation (ENC). There is also a built-in microphone for simpler communication when the boom mic is not attached.

The headband offers seven adjustment levels, giving users more control over the fit. Epomaker has also added RGB lighting to the rear of the ear cups. The lighting can be changed through the company’s Windows software.

Wireless and wired options

The Epomaker GX1 supports both 2.4 GHz wireless and Bluetooth connections. Epomaker claims around 25 ms latency when using 2.4 GHz wireless, while Bluetooth latency can range from 34 ms to 200 ms depending on the connection and mode.

The headset has a 2,000 mAh battery. Epomaker says it can run for up to 30 hours with RGB lighting switched on. Turning the lighting off can increase battery life to as much as 70 hours.

A detachable cable is also included, allowing the GX1 to be used in wired mode when the battery runs low or when a wired connection is preferred.
