PS Plus October 2026 games include F1 25 and Hunt: Showdown

Racing, extraction and co-op chaos. That’s the PlayStation Plus October games line-up for Essential members, and I’ll admit it’s a decent spread. As Sony confirmed on the PlayStation Blog, all three games will be free to claim from October 6 to November 2.

F1 25 leads the pack. Solo players get Career mode and My Team 2.0, whilst there’s a new multiplayer mode in F1 World. It’s not the freshest racer around, but free is free.

Hunt: Showdown is the one I’m happiest to see. It’s an extraction shooter with a twist, as you’re hunting monsters in a forgotten swamp whilst other players hunt you. It’s tense, and a nice change if you’re tired of the usual genre picks.

Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 rounds things out. You build your squad, pick your gear and fight waves of enemies in 4-player online co-op or 2-player split-screen. Split-screen in 2026 is a rare treat, so good on it.

Extra PS Plus perks

Sony also mentioned some bonuses. Spider-Man: Brand New Day avatars are coming to PS Plus members, alongside a set of horror fest packs. Those include the Call of Duty: Warzone Horror Bundle, the Hunt: Showdown 1896 Starter Pack, and the Overwatch 2 Dragur Reinhardt pack with 5 tier skips.

Three free games and about four weeks to grab them. Not bad for the price of admission.
