007 First Light free DLC adds two missions and a Bulldog

Free content, a missile-armed Aston Martin, and a bulldog named Jack. I’m in. IO Interactive has dropped the free Extended Operations DLC for 007 First Light today, just over four months after launch.

007 First Light – Extended Operations Free DLC

Two new missions

The headline is a pair of missions. Valhalla Protocol puts you behind the wheel of the Aston Martin Valhalla. I doubt the road-going version comes with turrets and missiles, but I’d happily be proved wrong.

Jungle Heist is set in the Vietnam section of the game and adds two weapons, the Squire Marksman rifle and the Storm 12 Gauge shotgun. Stealth or full chaos, your call.

There are also three new outfits: Leisure Beam, First Class and Observant Spy. Unlocked outfits carry over into New Game Plus.

New Game Plus and Photo Mode

New Game Plus arrives with the update, along with a new “00” difficulty. Expect tougher enemies and fewer resources, which is a fair way to find out whether you’re actually a double-o agent.

Photo Mode is in too, with camera tools, filters, poses and lighting setups. You can also snap the new MI6 mascot, a British bulldog called Jack. Yes, as in Union Jack. Subtle, it is not.

Free, generous and a bit daft. Exactly how a Bond update should be.
