The studio behind the Silent Hill 2 Remake isn’t slowing down; in fact, it’s doing the opposite.
Bloober Team has shifted to a full multi-project structure, with the Polish developer now juggling seven horror titles across its various teams. It’s a significant operational change for a studio that’s historically built its reputation one game at a time.
New Faces at Bloober Team
A report from GameIndustry.Biz reveals that Bloober Team has brought in three high-profile leadership appointments to support the expansion. Thaine Lyman, a former senior figure at Activision, joins as head of studio. Katya Baukova, who comes with senior experience from CD Projekt Red, the team behind Cyberpunk 2077, takes the role of director of business development. Rounding things out, Michał Gembicki, CEO of Klabater SA and another CD Projekt Red alumnus, steps in as head of publishing.

Two internal teams, five more through Broken Mirror
CEO Piotr Babieno has been candid about the reasoning behind the shift, stating that relying on a single project carries too much risk in the current market. The plan is to keep the first two production teams running at all times, no more, to protect quality and creative focus.
The remaining five titles, including Layers of Fear 3 and Project M, are being handled through Broken Mirror Games, Bloober’s co-development label. Several of those projects are confirmed for Nintendo hardware specifically.

With Cronos: The New Dawn still on the horizon, Bloober Team’s slate is looking busier than ever.
