Forza Horizon 6 isn’t even out for everyone yet, and it’s already printing money.
Early Access kicked off on 15th May for Premium Edition buyers, with the global launch set for 19th May. In that short window, the numbers coming out of the game are frankly staggering, and they suggest this could be one of the biggest launches in the franchise’s history.
Over a million players before Forza Horizon 6 global launch
According to a screenshot shared by DayOne, approximately 1.2 million players purchased the Premium Edition ahead of launch. At £120 a pop, that puts estimated revenue north of $140 million, and that’s before the standard edition buyers even get a look-in on 19th May.

Steam figures add further weight to the momentum. The game peaked at over 178,000 concurrent players on 16th May, settling around 118,809 at the time of writing.
A 92 on metacritic
Critics have matched the enthusiasm. Based on 65 reviews, the game sits at 92 on Metacritic, a must-play badge attached. A dozen outlets gave it full marks. The lowest scores hover around 70, with a handful of reviewers flagging a lack of depth as the main gripe.

The game draws heavily from Japanese culture, and it appears both players and press are all in, mods are already surfacing online, which says a lot about the community’s energy this early.
