Hogwarts Legacy 2 is officially happening, WB confirms

Warner Bros. just confirmed Hogwarts Legacy 2 is real, and they did it in the least exciting way possible: a shareholder letter.

Buried in a document meant for investors, not fans, WB confirmed the sequel is coming as part of a “refocused strategy” built around four $1 billion-plus franchises. Fittingly corporate for a game about wizards.

What we actually know about Hogwarts Legacy 2 (Not Much)

The letter didn’t offer a title, release window, or a single gameplay detail. All we got was a mention that Hogwarts Legacy 2 is part of WB’s plan to make Games “more meaningfully contribute” to profits going forward. Riveting stuff.

Still, it’s not exactly a shock. The original sold at least 40 million units, and job listings from 2025 already pointed to a sequel being in the works, with some hinting at online multiplayer this time round.

So yes, it’s happening. We just have absolutely no idea what it’ll look like yet.
