It looks like we won’t have to wait long to see Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced in the flesh. ResetERA user BlackBate has claimed the remake’s official announcement is currently planned for April 16th.

According to various documentation, Black Flag Resynced is targeting a FY 2027 Q2 release, putting it somewhere between June and August this year. Some sources have pointed specifically to July, though given Ubisoft’s track record of delays and cancellations, that date is worth treating with caution.

Black Flag Resynced is Ubisoft’s headline release
This one matters more than most. Black Flag Resynced is shaping up to be one of Ubisoft’s headline releases for the current financial year, alongside a mainline Ghost Recon title due later in the fiscal calendar.
The French publisher is leaning heavily on both games to stabilise its finances, a precarious position, especially with further cost-cutting and potential layoffs still looming across its studios over the next two years.

Whether Resynced can actually deliver is another question entirely. But the prospect of hitting the high seas again? That’s hard not to get excited about.
