SPINE’s Gun-Fu shooter finally gets a summer 2027 release window

SPINE
Nekki's stylish gun-fu shooter SPINE is heading to PC and consoles in Summer 2027, with a new trailer showing off Redline in action.

SPINE finally has a release window, and honestly, it’s about time. Nekki’s stylish gun-fu shooter is landing on PC and consoles in Summer 2027, and the studio marked the occasion with a brand new gameplay trailer.

This isn’t just another cover shooter. It mixes multiple camera angles with slick, fluid gunplay, all wrapped in a cyberpunk setting with a story that actually has some weight behind it.

SPINE – Release Window Announcement Trailer

A first look at Tensor City

The new trailer, released on August 26, gives us our first proper look at the supreme leader of Tensor City, the game’s crime-soaked, tech-drenched setting. It’s a small glimpse, but it does a good job of setting the tone for what Nekki is going for here.

Nekki, the team behind Vector and Shadow Fight, is building SPINE on its own Cascadeur engine, an animation system designed so no two fights play out the same way. That’s a bold promise for an action game, but the studio has the pedigree to back it up.

The real star of the show is Redline, SPINE’s protagonist. She’s fitted with a sentient combat implant that massively boosts her abilities, and I think she’s going to be one of next year’s most memorable new characters.
