Crimson Desert has only been out for three weeks, but Pearl Abyss is already giving players a look at everything heading to the game between April and June, and there’s quite a bit on the way.

Boss rematches, difficulty settings, and new combat content
On the gameplay side, Boss Rematches will let players revisit tough encounters they’ve already cleared. Re-Blockading will see enemies attempt to reclaim previously liberated locations, keeping the open world feeling alive and contested. A difficulty system offering easy, normal, and hard modes is also in the works, alongside unspecified “combat-focused content” that the team is keeping close to its chest for now.
Crimson Desert character improvements coming for Damiane and Oongka
Both Damiane and Oongka are getting new skills comparable to Kliff’s “Force Palm” and “Axiom Force” abilities, addressing feedback that the pair felt underpowered by comparison. Players will also be able to hide weapons from their character’s back, and new outfits are coming, including updates that allow previously donation-only or sell-only gear to actually be worn.
Storage overhaul, new mounts, and pets
A dedicated specialised storage system is on its way, splitting items into four categories: food ingredients, wardrobe pieces, gatherable materials, and collectibles. New summonable mounts and pets are also planned, with dedicated armour for mounts reportedly in the pipeline too.
UI, controls, and visual polish
Minimum font size options, map and inventory improvements, and expanded controller and keyboard customisation round out the quality-of-life additions.
Pearl Abyss is also working on enhancing distant scenery rendering, though that particular Crimson Desert update may come as a notably larger patch.
