The Duskbloods delay pushes FromSoftware’s Switch 2 exclusive to 2027

The Duskbloods
The Duskbloods has been delayed into 2027. From Software says it needs more time for final adjustments to game rules and balancing after the network test.

Well, that was always going to happen. The Duskbloods has missed 2026 and is now slated for sometime in 2027.

FromSoftware confirmed the news in a post on X, saying the Switch 2 exclusive The Duskbloods is already at the final adjustment stage but needs more time. The studio pointed to the network test, where players showed strong interest in combat, strategic depth and player expression. The extra months will go on “final adjustments to game rules and balancing.” No new date was given.

Honestly, the delay isn’t a shock. There are only two months left in 2026, and the network test left people with mixed feelings. One of the biggest complaints was balance. A class with a sniper rifle could pick off enemies at range, which made it the obvious choice for anyone playing to win in PvP. When one pick beats everything else, the rest of the roster stops mattering.

That’s the sort of problem a delay should fix, so I’d rather wait than get a rough launch. FromSoftware also apologised to anyone who has been waiting and thanked them for their patience.

Fingers crossed that sniper gets a proper nerf.
