Clear some space on your console, because GTA 6 is about to eat a big chunk of it. According to a post from datamining account PlayStation Game Size, the full download comes in at 210 GB.
That makes it one of the biggest games ever released by base file size. I can’t say I’m shocked. The trailers and screenshots have pointed to a massive open world packed with things to do, and all of that has to live somewhere. Still, 210 GB is a lot to ask, especially if you’re on a smaller SSD or a capped connection.
Preloading starts on 12 November, so expect networks to struggle when everyone hits download at once. If your internet is slow, start early and let it run overnight.
GTA 6 game size could still change
That figure is from the time of the post, so it isn’t locked in. If there’s a day-one patch, you could be downloading extra data right when the game goes live. I’d leave some spare room beyond the 210 GB, just in case.

Delete that old game you never play. You’ll need the space.
