Forza Horizon 6 hasn’t even hit early access yet, and the modding community is already getting to work.
Early access for Playground Games‘ latest racer opens tomorrow, 15 May 2026, with the full release following on 19 May for Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam. Despite that, a handful of mods have already surfaced on Nexus Mods, and some of them are genuinely useful.
Stuff that’s already available
The current lineup covers a fair range. A Realism Reshade mod pushes the game’s visuals towards richer, more saturated colours, while a Save File mod lets players bypass the tutorial entirely and jump straight into the action. Both feel like the kind of quality-of-life additions that’ll find a wide audience quickly.

Then there’s the one that’ll get the most attention: a Tokyo Drift mod that swaps out the main menu video and soundtrack for the iconic track. It’s purely cosmetic, but it fits Forza Horizon 6‘s Japanese setting surprisingly well.
PlayStation owners also get a nod, with a mod replacing Xbox button prompts with DualSense equivalents, handy for PC players crossing over. Rounding things out is a full HUD removal mod, stripping away checkpoints and destination markers for a cleaner, more immersive drive.
Only the beginning
It’s an impressive start given the game isn’t even out yet. Once the full release lands, expect the Nexus Mods page to grow substantially.

Forza Horizon 6 is shaping up to be something special as the modding scene clearly agrees it’s worth the early investment.
