Gigabyte AERO X16 arrives with Ryzen AI 9 and RTX 5070 graphics

Gigabyte has introduced its latest Gigabyte AERO X16 laptop, bringing together AI-powered performance, a slim design, and features aimed at creators, professionals, and gamers. The new laptop joins the growing range of Copilot+ PCs and is designed to handle demanding workloads while remaining easy to carry.

At the heart of the AERO X16 is the AMD Ryzen AI 9 465 processor, paired with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU. This combination delivers strong performance for content creation, AI tasks, and modern gaming. The laptop also comes with 12GB of graphics memory, allowing users to enjoy improved visuals in supported games and run larger AI models directly on the device.

Gigabyte is also adding its own AI-powered software tools through the GiMATE AI Agent. The company says the platform helps users manage hardware and software settings more easily. New features include GiMATE Creator for local AI image generation and GiMATE Coder, which can assist with coding tasks and works alongside Visual Studio Code to speed up development and debugging.

Despite its powerful hardware, the AERO X16 remains highly portable. The laptop measures just 16.75mm thick and weighs around 1.9kg. To keep temperatures under control, Gigabyte has equipped the device with its WINDFORCE Infinity cooling system. The setup uses dual fans, multiple heat pipes, and advanced airflow design to maintain performance while keeping noise levels low.

The laptop features a 16-inch 2.5K IPS display with a 165Hz refresh rate. It covers 100% of the sRGB colour space and carries Pantone Validation for accurate colours. Gigabyte has also included a 92% screen-to-body ratio, TÜV Rheinland eye comfort certification, and Dolby Atmos audio support to improve the overall viewing and entertainment experience.

Battery life is another key highlight. Gigabyte claims the AERO X16 can deliver up to 14 hours of use on a single charge, while fast-charging support helps reduce downtime. The laptop also includes a Golden Curve Keyboard with RGB lighting for a more comfortable typing experience.
