GAMDIAS THOR P2 PSUs Offer Powerful Performance and 12 Year Warranty

GAMDIAS has introduced its new GAMDIAS THOR P2 power supply series, aimed at gamers building high performance PCs. The lineup includes 850 W, 1050 W, and 1350 W models, giving users several options for powerful gaming systems.

The new power supplies come with an 80 Plus Platinum rating, which means they are designed to waste less power and produce less heat during use. GAMDIAS has also built the series around the latest ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards, making it ready for newer graphics cards and other demanding hardware.

One of the main features is the native 12V-2×6 connector. It can deliver up to 600 W to compatible graphics cards without needing extra adapters. The connector also uses two colors to make it easier to check whether the cable is properly connected.

GAMDIAS says the THOR P2 series can handle sudden increases in power demand, supporting up to 3x GPU power excursion and 2x total power excursion. This should help keep the system stable when a graphics card suddenly pulls more power during heavy gaming or other demanding workloads.

The PSUs use 105°C Japanese capacitors, along with a DC-to-DC design, LLC resonant circuit, and 12 V synchronous rectification. These components are designed to provide stable power and improve the long term reliability of the units.

Cooling is handled by a 135 mm Fluid Dynamic Bearing fan. The power supplies also have a Smart Silent Mode that can stop the fan at around 15 to 20 percent load. This means the PSU can stay quiet when the PC is doing light work.

The THOR P2 models are fully modular, so users only need to connect the cables required for their build. This can make installation easier and help keep the inside of the PC cleaner.

GAMDIAS has also included several protection systems, including over power, over voltage, under voltage, short circuit, over current, and over temperature protection. The company is backing the series with a 12 year warranty.

The THOR P2-850P is priced at $119.90, while the THOR P2-1050P costs $139.90. The higher capacity THOR P2-1350P is priced at $199.90.
