Modern Warfare 4’s new trailer sends price racing through Paris

Paris really can’t catch a break in Call of Duty, can it? Back in the original Modern Warfare 3, the Eiffel Tower didn’t survive the series’ visit to the city. Now Modern Warfare 4 is heading back there, and going by the new trailer, things aren’t looking much calmer this time either.

Activision dropped the “Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 Campaign First Look – Traffic” trailer on August 11, mixing cinematics with real gameplay from one of the campaign missions. The clip is set in Paris and leans hard into the over-the-top car chases the rebooted series loves.

Price and Valeria team up

The trailer also confirms something interesting about where the story’s going: Price and Valeria, who was the antagonist back in Modern Warfare 2, are now working together. It says a lot about how far Price is willing to go to get the job done, teaming up with someone he was fighting not too long ago.

On the gameplay side, there’s flipping cars, gunfire in the streets, and what looks like a drivable armoured van. Price and Valeria shoot their way through Paris as the chase unfolds, and it’s not clear yet whether that famous tower makes it through this time.

I’d give it fifty-fifty odds, honestly. This is Modern Warfare we’re talking about.
