Gears of War E-Day Beta Brings Exciting RTX Features to PC Gamers

The Gears of War: E-Day multiplayer beta is now open to all players, giving PC gamers a free chance to try the upcoming game before its full release. NVIDIA has also confirmed new DLSS features for several other major games, including Phantom Blade Zero, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, and No More Room In Hell 2.

The Gears of War: E-Day beta will remain available until August 17 at 10 AM PT. Players can jump into both co-op and competitive multiplayer modes before the game officially launches on October 6.

Gears of War E-Day beta is now open

Gears of War: E-Day takes place 14 years before the first game in the series. It follows Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago as they face the first attack from the Locust Horde.

The multiplayer beta includes Horde Siege, a new take on the series’ popular survival mode. It supports larger maps, more players, and bigger battles. Players can also try the updated 4v4 Versus mode.

The game is built using Unreal Engine 5 and DirectX 12. It uses several of the engine’s advanced features, including Nanite, Lumen, and MegaLights. These technologies help deliver more detailed environments, lighting, shadows, destruction, and visual effects.

On PC, the beta supports NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution and NVIDIA Reflex. The full game will go further by adding the complete DLSS 4.5 feature set for GeForce RTX users.

Phantom Blade Zero gets new trailer and DLSS 4.5

Phantom Blade Zero has also received a new 11-minute trailer ahead of its launch. The action RPG is now available for pre-order and is scheduled to release on October 29.

The game follows Soul, a warrior who has only 66 days left to live after being framed for his master’s death. He must uncover the truth while fighting enemies across a dangerous martial arts world.

Players will be able to use more than 30 main weapons and over 20 special Phantom Edges. The combat focuses on fast attacks, combos, and different weapon combinations.

Donnie Yen is also involved with the project as a creative consultant and appears as Mó Yuan. His experience in martial arts and action movies has helped shape the game’s combat.

For PC gamers, Phantom Blade Zero will support DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution and Multi Frame Generation. The PC version will also feature ray-traced reflections, shadows, and caustics.

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam launches with DLSS 4.5

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is now launching, taking the large-scale multiplayer series into the Vietnam War.

The game features battles between North Vietnamese forces and US forces across jungles, mountains, and other difficult environments. Players can use helicopters, patrol boats, historical weapons, and tunnels while working with their teams.

The game supports battles with up to 100 players, with 50 players on each side. Warfare and Offensive are among the available multiplayer modes.

NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution will be available from launch for GeForce RTX users. RTX 50 Series owners can also use Dynamic Multi Frame Generation through the NVIDIA app for higher frame rates.

No More Room In Hell 2 leaves Early Access

The zombie shooter No More Room In Hell 2 has officially left Early Access. The launch update adds several new features, including Survival Mode, a new objective map, and Solo Mode.

The game supports up to eight players, with each player taking the role of an emergency responder trying to survive in zombie-filled locations. Getting infected can have serious consequences, including the permanent loss of a character.

The game’s DLSS support has also been upgraded to DLSS 4.5. RTX 50 Series users can take advantage of Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, while other supported RTX features include Super Resolution, Frame Generation, DLAA, and NVIDIA Reflex.

More RTX games are on the way

NVIDIA continues to add DLSS and RTX support to new PC games. With Gears of War: E-Day, Phantom Blade Zero, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, and No More Room In Hell 2 all receiving new RTX features, GeForce RTX owners have several major releases to look forward to.
