Rockstar Addresses GTA VI Leaks With Exciting Extended Look Still on Track

Rockstar Games has finally spoken publicly about the recent GTA VI leaks, calling the situation heartbreaking for the team behind the highly anticipated game.

The statement comes after a series of unauthorized GTA VI gameplay videos and other game details appeared online in recent days. The leaks have continued despite legal action from Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company and publisher.

Rockstar Says the GTA VI Leaks Hurt the Team

In its first direct response, Rockstar apologized to fans and the development team for the way GTA VI content reached the public.

The studio said it had always wanted players to discover the game through official reveals and gameplay presentations. Instead, parts of the game have appeared online before Rockstar was ready to show them.

The studio confirmed that the GTA VI Extended Look is coming as planned. The presentation is expected to give fans a much better and more polished look at the game through official footage.

Rockstar said the extended presentation took longer than expected because the team wants it to meet the high expectations surrounding the game.

That is important because the leaked clips have already shown parts of GTA VI before the official presentation. Rockstar now has the difficult job of making its own reveal feel fresh and worthwhile.
