Razer has introduced its new Phantom Wolf V4 gaming controllers in China, bringing advanced joystick technology, extra controls, and high polling rates for competitive gamers. The new lineup includes two models, the Tournament Edition priced at ¥799 and the Professional Edition priced at ¥1,599.
The Razer Phantom Wolf V4 series is based on the company’s Wolverine V4 controller lineup, with features designed for players who want more control and faster responses in games. Both models include capacitive thumbsticks, adjustable triggers, additional buttons, and a floating eight-way D-pad. PC gamers can also benefit from an 8,000Hz polling rate.

Razer Phantom Wolf V4 Brings Advanced Gaming Controls
Both Phantom Wolf V4 controllers feature high-resolution capacitive thumbsticks designed to provide accurate input during gameplay. Players also get adjustable triggers with long and short travel options, allowing them to adjust the controls to suit different games.
The controllers include four rear buttons with mouse-click-style switches and two additional shoulder buttons designed for grip and macro functions. These extra controls can help players perform actions without moving their thumbs away from the main sticks.
Razer has also included a floating eight-way D-pad for directional inputs. On PC, both controllers support an 8KHz polling rate, which allows the controller to report inputs more frequently when supported by the system and game.
Tournament Edition and Professional Edition Differences
The Razer Phantom Wolf V4 Tournament Edition costs ¥799 and is designed for players who prefer a wired connection. It offers the main features of the series, including capacitive thumbsticks, adjustable triggers, and extra rear and shoulder buttons.
The Phantom Wolf V4 Professional Edition costs ¥1,599 and offers more connection and customization options. Unlike the Tournament Edition, the Professional Edition supports three connection modes, although the available modes have not been specified in the supplied announcement.
The Professional Edition also features detachable rear buttons and a replaceable faceplate. Razer includes two additional thumbstick caps, with short concave and tall concave designs, giving players more options for adjusting the controller to their preferences.
With two models at different price points, the Razer Phantom Wolf V4 series offers competitive gamers a choice between a wired controller and a more customizable version with multiple connection options. Both models focus on precise controls, extra inputs, and high polling rates for PC gaming.
