JBL launches its upgraded JBL 3 Series MkIII studio monitors with improved sound, new Class D amplifiers, easy room tuning and a powerful subwoofer.

JBL Professional has introduced its new JBL 3 Series MkIII studio monitors, bringing improved sound quality, better room tuning and updated amplification to its popular studio speaker lineup. The new range is designed for music producers, content creators, video editors and audio professionals looking for reliable sound in their workspace.

The lineup includes three powered studio monitors, the JBL 305P MkIII, 306P MkIII and 308P MkIII, along with the JBL 310S MkIII powered subwoofer. JBL says this is the most extensive redesign of the 3 Series platform so far, with updates to its acoustic design, amplifier technology and installation options.

JBL 3 Series MkIII Brings Improved Sound and New Amplifiers

The new JBL 3 Series MkIII studio monitors feature redesigned high-frequency and low-frequency drivers. These work with an updated JBL Image Control Waveguide to provide a wider listening area and more accurate stereo imaging.

JBL has also improved the low-frequency drivers with stronger cone materials, upgraded magnets and aluminium shorting rings. These changes are designed to improve power handling while reducing sound distortion.

The front-firing JBL Slipstream port helps deliver more consistent bass, especially when speakers are placed close to walls or on a desk. This can be useful for users working in smaller studios where speaker placement is limited.

Another major upgrade is the new Class D amplification. JBL says the updated amplifiers provide higher output, more headroom and lower system noise.

The monitors also include balanced Neutrik combo inputs and selectable +4 dBu or -10 dBV input sensitivity, making them easier to connect with studio interfaces, mixers and other audio equipment.

Easy Room Tuning and Flexible Setup Options

JBL has made room adjustment simpler with four one-touch controls on each full-range monitor. These controls provide 81 corrective EQ combinations to help users adjust the sound based on speaker placement, wall distance and room conditions.

The system does not require calibration software, making it easier for users to set up their speakers without complicated adjustments.

Every full-range model also includes integrated M4 mounting points. This allows users to install the monitors on desks, walls, ceilings or monitor arms.

The lineup supports different audio setups, including traditional stereo, 2.1 systems, surround sound and immersive monitoring. This gives users more flexibility as their production needs grow.

JBL 310S MkIII Subwoofer Extends Bass to 26 Hz

For users who need stronger low-frequency performance, JBL has introduced the 310S MkIII powered subwoofer.

The subwoofer extends bass response down to 26 Hz and includes selectable crossover settings for different speaker configurations. It also features an external bass-management bypass, allowing it to work with a wider range of audio setups.

Together, the new monitors and subwoofer provide options for compact desktop studios as well as larger production environments.

JBL 3 Series MkIII Availability

The JBL Professional 3 Series MkIII studio monitors and subwoofer will be available starting November 3, 2026, across Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

North American availability is scheduled to begin on January 7, 2027.

JBL has not included pricing details in the announcement. The new lineup offers several monitor sizes, giving users the option to choose a setup based on their room size and production requirements.
