Insomniac Games is keeping the hype train rolling for its upcoming Wolverine title, with the studio once again confirming that more news is on the way before summer arrives.
A gentle reminder wth a nudge
Taking to X, Insomniac dropped a brief but pointed message reminding fans to wishlist the game, adding that “More news coming later this Spring!” It’s not a headline-grabbing reveal, but it does signal the studio is ramping up its communication ahead of what’s shaping up to be one of the PS5’s biggest releases of the year.
Spring officially began on 20th March and runs through to 21st June, so there’s still a healthy window for something significant to drop.
What could the announcement look like?
That’s the big question. Insomniac has previously stated it wants to show more gameplay before opening pre-orders, so whatever’s coming will likely be substantial. Whether it arrives via a dedicated Wolverine showcase or gets folded into a larger Sony State of Play remains to be seen. A State of Play rumoured for 16th April never materialised, so the wait continues.
Still on track for September
Despite the radio silence on specifics, the September release window for Wolverine on PS5 remains unchanged. With less than six months to go, an imminent gameplay reveal feels increasingly inevitable.
