Ubisoft has put RPG rumours to rest during the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Showcase, confirming the remake stays true to its roots, and the PC specs to run it have now been revealed.
Black Flag Resynced is not an RPG
When directly asked about the game’s direction, Ubisoft was clear: “This remains a solo adventure and character-driven experience. It is not an RPG.” That’ll be a relief for fans of the original’s tight, pirate-focused formula.
That said, Black Flag Resynced isn’t a straightforward port. The remake brings a reworked weather system affecting ship movement, enhanced underwater exploration, updated combat, and reworked tailing and eavesdropping missions. Three new crewmate character missions and additional Edward Kenway content are also included. His original voice actor is returning for the role, too, per a leaked presentation prior to the showcase.


PC System Requirements
Ubisoft has also confirmed the full Black Flag Resynced PC requirements. A 65GB SSD and 16GB RAM (dual-channel) are needed across all presets. Here’s the full breakdown:
