For once, you’re the thing the heroes are supposed to stop. The first Angelfall trailer from The Third One has landed, and you play an Archdemon cutting through humans and harvesting their souls. There’s nothing noble about it, and I’m all for that.
Angelfall is a roguelike reverse-horror game, and the trailer shows why that label fits. The screen is packed with enemies, the art is dark and grim, and the heavy metal soundtrack never lets up. It looks like the sort of game you could happily watch someone else play with a drink in hand. Whether it holds up in your own hands is a different question, but the chaos is the point here.
Angelfall – Gameplay Trailer
The trailer also shows you using a mix of weapons and abilities to deal with huge mobs and boss fights. Roguelikes live or die on their builds, so I’m keen to see how wild the synergies get.
Wishlist it or try the demo
You can wishlist Angelfall on Steam now, and there’s a free demo too. A free demo is the best answer to a trailer that might be hiding something.

I’m giving it a go. Being the bad guy has never looked this loud.
