If you’ve been itching to sink a few ships in Battlefield 6, mark your calendar. Season 4, called Naval Warfare, drops on July 21, 2026.
The developers confirmed the date on X, and threw in a proper trailer to go with it. According to the post, this season brings the biggest map the game has ever had, plus dynamic waves, new vehicles, and new weapons. Basically, expect chaos on land, in the air, and now at sea too.
Battlefield 6 Season 4 Naval Official Gameplay Trailer
What’s actually new in the trailer
You’ll need to dodge underwater mines, and the waves genuinely shift and move, which should make naval fights properly unpredictable rather than just “water but you can drive on it.”
We also get our first proper look at Tsuru Reef, the new map built around a huge body of water running alongside the land. Battles look set to spill across both terrains, vehicles included. A new homing torpedo also shows up, which sounds like it’s going to ruin someone’s day every single match.

Wake island makes its return
The trailer closes on Wake Island, a returning map rebuilt for Battlefield 6 with more scale and modern systems. Ships armed with mortar cannons show up here too, and the destruction they cause looks properly satisfying.

Naval combat has been rumoured for a while, but now it’s official, dated, and looking genuinely different from anything else in the game so far.
