If you smashed through Black Flag Resynced in the last week and immediately wanted a reason to sail back out, good news: New Game Plus is on the way.
The remake landed on July 9 and sold over 2 million copies in a single day, which is a big number by any measure. Ubisoft clearly nailed the comeback here, and now it sounds like they’re building on that momentum instead of just banking the cash and moving on.

Why this one should come quickly
Director Richard Knight told YouTuber JorRaptor that New Game Plus is already in active development and sits near the top of the priority list. He couldn’t give a release window, but he did explain why it’s not starting from zero: Assassin’s Creed Shadows already built its own version of the mode, so the team isn’t reinventing anything here, just adapting existing work.

That’s a smart shortcut. It means less risk, less time, and a better shot at actually shipping the mode instead of it quietly disappearing from the roadmap.
No date yet, but with a system already built elsewhere and a team that clearly wants to keep the momentum going, I wouldn’t bet on a long wait.
