The EA Sports football hype train is pulling out of the station, and it’s bringing both its big franchises along for the ride.
EA Sports has confirmed that College Football 27 and Madden NFL 27 will be revealed together on 4th June through a brand-new showcase format called “Opening Drive.”
College Football 27 & Madden NFL 27 in one showcase
Rather than separate reveals, EA is bundling everything into a single connected event. “EA Sports Opening Drive brings together the full vision for College Football 27 and Madden NFL in one connected showcase, covering every mode, every major innovation, and every way to play,” the company said in its announcement.
It’s a bold move, and it should give fans a much clearer picture of both titles in one sitting.

Specifics are still under wraps, but the rumour mill is already turning. EA Sports is planning a special Chicago event tied to Madden NFL 27, which has led to speculation that Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams could be this year’s cover athlete.
On the College Football 27 side, there are whispers about the game potentially making its way to PC for the first time, though nothing has been confirmed just yet.
Either way, 4th June is a big day for football gaming fans.
