Cheating rumours have been swirling around Marvel Rivals, and NetEase has had enough, they’ve stepped in to set the record straight.
The bypass rumours are completely false
A new blog post from the Marvel Rivals team addresses claims that players could disable the game’s anti-cheat by tweaking launch parameters. According to the developers, that’s simply not true. The anti-cheat runs alongside the game client at all times and cannot be switched off independently. The only thing that particular parameter actually does is hide the anti-cheat pop-up window, the software itself stays fully active regardless.
It’s a firm and clear response to what had apparently gained some traction online.

Cheaters are already facing the consequences
NetEase didn’t stop at corrections, they’ve been actively investigating, and the results aren’t pretty for those caught cheating. Players found using cheats, illicit assist programmes, or tampering with the client are receiving permanent bans, with a list of flagged accounts already logged in their automated penalty systems.
Those who repeatedly offend or distribute cheats face even harsher treatment. Account bans, device bans, and IP bans are all on the table.

It’s a no-nonsense stance, and honestly, it’s exactly what a competitive game like Marvel Rivals needs to keep things fair.
