A Rayman comeback has been brewing for a while, and now it’s nearly impossible to keep under wraps.
The logo that started it all
A logo for Rayman Legends: Retold surfaced on social media on 27th May, circulating without any official context. Naturally, that kind of thing invites scepticism, but sources have confirmed it’s the real deal.
The project, internally known as Project Steambot, was developed by the former Prince of Persia team and has reportedly survived the wave of cancellations that hit Ubisoft earlier in 2026, a rough stretch that claimed the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake, among others.
October 2026 release window
A full Rayman Legends: Retold reveal is expected within the next week, with the game targeting an October 1, 2026 release date. That lines up nicely with Summer Game Fest season, giving Ubisoft a solid platform to make some noise.
Ubisoft had previously reaffirmed its commitment to the future of Rayman, and it looks like that future is finally taking shape in a meaningful way.

Whether you’re a longtime fan of the original or just love a good platformer, Rayman Legends: Retold is one of the most exciting announcements of the year. Keep an eye out, the official reveal shouldn’t be far off.
