Don’t hold your breath for a Stellar Blade 2 announcement just yet, but it sounds like one might be closer than you’d think.

In a recent interview with 4Gamer, translated by TheGamer, Shift Up CEO Kim Hyung-tae opened up about where development on Stellar Blade 2 currently stands. He acknowledged that from the outside, it can look like “nothing is happening”, but assured fans that his team is “working very passionately on the production.”
Hyung-tae made it clear the game won’t be revealed prematurely. Shift Up plans to present it only once it’s reached a quality they’re fully satisfied with.

When pressed on whether the sequel was in “good shape”, the CEO was coy but encouraging, saying he didn’t want to spoil anything, though he did add that “the time has come when you can have a little bit of expectation.” Make of that what you will.
Details on Stellar Blade 2 are still scarce
Details on the game remain scarce, but previous reports suggest it could be a multiplatform release and may be set in a post-apocalyptic China, though nothing has been officially confirmed.
In separate news, Shift Up has announced it’s acquiring developer Unbound and will be publishing its upcoming titles.

So while a reveal isn’t imminent, it sounds like the wait might not be eternal either.
