A Modern Take on a Classic Era: Thermaltake Unveils the Retro Series

A Nostalgic Blend of Vintage Charm and Advanced PC Innovation

Las Vegas, USA-January 5th, 2026Thermaltake, a leading PC DIY brand for premium hardware solutions, proudly introduces the Retro Series at CES 2026. Inspired by the character, colors, and playful simplicity of classic tech aesthetics, the Retro Series reimagines familiar vintage motifs through modern design. The collection features two chassis and a new AIO liquid cooler, each blending expressive retro style with the performance required by today’s PC builders.

The Retro Series features soft tones, textured panels, and subtle retro accents, paired with enhanced airflow, hidden-connector motherboard support, vibrant LCD displays, and next-generation cooling. It’s a retro-futuristic approach that blends nostalgia with contemporary performance.

At its core, the Retro Series celebrates theme-driven building, systems that express personality and creativity. Whether users want a retro-inspired battlestation or a cozy themed setup, the series offers a playful yet premium canvas for personal expression.

Retro 260 TG: Compact Nostalgia with Modern Capability

The Retro 260 TG channels the look of classic micro desktops into a modern Micro-ATX case. Its simple layout and retro-style front I/O recall the early days of home computing, while still offering solid hardware support. The chassis accommodates Micro-ATX hidden-connector motherboards, up to nine 120 mm fans, and a up to 280 mm radiator mounted on top.

The chassis also supports Thermaltake’s 6-inch LCD Screen Kit, ideal for displaying pixel art, retro themes, system stats, or custom animations. The front I/O includes USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, dual USB 3.0 ports, and HD Audio.

Retro 360 TG: A Larger Canvas for Retro Enthusiasts

For builders who want more space, the Retro 360 TG expands the same nostalgic design language into a mid-tower format inspired by early-90s workstation styling. Its larger interior accommodates ATX hidden-connector motherboards, up to twelve 120 mm fans, and up to 360 mm radiators mounted on the top or side.

Like the 260, it works seamlessly with the 6-inch LCD Screen Kit, allowing users to showcase retro OS displays, classic screensavers, or custom monitoring layouts. Front I/O includes USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, USB 3.0, and HD Audio.

Retro Ultra AIO: Vintage Style Meets Modern Cooling

Completing the series is the Retro Ultra ARGB Sync AIO Liquid Cooler, available in 240 mm and 360 mm configurations. It features Thermaltake’s new single-frame fan design with vivid ARGB illumination, delivering strong airflow and consistent static pressure while maintaining a clean, unified look.

Its signature centerpiece is the detachable pump head with a 3.6-inch TFT LCD display, styled to resemble a miniature retro computer or a classic CRT-inspired interface. Paired with TT RGB PLUS 3.0 Software, users can showcase custom themes, retro graphics, temperature readouts, animations, or nostalgic elements. The cooler also incorporates a convenient four-screw fan removal system, making routine cleaning and fan installation quick and straightforward.

Blending Nostalgia with Innovation

The Retro Series invites PC enthusiasts to reconnect with the spirit of early home-computer culture in a modern way. Instead of recreating the past, it focuses on delivering a unique desk presence and a sense of character that stands out in today’s setups. By blending familiar retro influences with the capability of current hardware, the series offers a fresh, distinctive option for users who want personality without sacrificing performance.
