Insomniac dropped the “Ain’t No Hero” trailer for Marvel’s Wolverine, and the title says it all. This isn’t your friendly neighbourhood mutant. This is Logan doing what Logan does best, which is turning enemies into confetti while looking thoroughly unbothered about it.
The trailer leans hard into that antihero framing, putting Wolverine closer to Punisher territory than anything resembling a boy scout. Given how brutal the footage is, that framing feels earned rather than marketing spin.
Marvel’s Wolverine – Ain’t No Hero Trailer
This follows the extended gameplay reveal from the recent State of Play, which showed Logan and Jean Grey teaming up to rescue captured mutants. That segment also gave us a first proper look at Sabertooth, oddly cast as an ally this time round, alongside confirmation that Leech, Omega Red and Sentinels will all show up in the game.
Insomniac also cleared up a worry that’s been doing the rounds: yes, Marvel’s Wolverine will ship on disc. Sony’s move away from printing discs for new PS5 titles doesn’t kick in until January 2028, and this game launches eighteen months ahead of that cutoff. So physical copy collectors can relax, at least for now.

With a September 15 launch date locked in, the wait isn’t long. And going by this trailer, it’s a properly savage one.
