Witcher 3 fans are building a full expansion, and it looks great

Witcher 3 Revenge of Ofir Fanmade Expansion
Modders are building Revenge of Ofir, an unofficial Witcher 3 expansion with full Polish dubbing, new quests, and a 2027 release window.

CD Projekt Red already gave us a reason to jump back into The Witcher 3 this year with the Songs of the Past expansion. Turns out that’s not the only reason. A team of modders calling themselves W3streams has just shown off Revenge of Ofir, a fan-made expansion so ambitious it might end up being the bigger story of the two.

The pitch is simple but exciting for anyone who finished Blood and Wine wanting more. Geralt has settled down at Corvo Bianco to make wine, but gets dragged into a new adventure in Ofir, a land only ever mentioned in Andrzej Sapkowski’s books and teased briefly in Hearts of Stone. This time, the heir to the throne has died, and things aren’t calm.

What’s actually in this Witcher 3 expansion

Built using CD Projekt’s official REDkit tools, the expansion adds a brand new region, new enemies, side quests, monster hunts, choices that actually branch the story, and yes, a new Gwent card for anyone who cares more about cards than saving a kingdom.

The detail that’ll get people talking, though, is the voice work. W3streams confirmed the expansion will be fully dubbed in Polish, with Jacek Rozenek, the original Polish voice of Geralt, returning to the role. No AI voice cloning, no shortcuts. That alone says a lot about how seriously this team is taking the project.

A release date is still just “2027” for now, though select creators will get an early preview build. Whether it lands before or after Songs of the Past is anyone’s guess. Either way, 2027 is quietly turning into a huge year for a game that came out a decade ago.
