ASUS Republic of Gamers has introduced the new ROG Raikiri II Pro PC controller, a high-end gamepad designed for players who want fast response times and plenty of control options. It combines an 8000 Hz polling rate, wireless connectivity and replaceable TMR joystick modules in one premium package.
Built for fast gaming
The biggest feature of the Raikiri II Pro is its 8000 Hz polling rate. ASUS says this helps the controller send input more often, which can make controls feel faster and more responsive during competitive games.
For wireless gaming, the controller uses a 2.4 GHz connection with ASUS ROG SpeedNova technology. The D-pad, ABXY buttons, rear buttons and bumpers all use micro switches. This gives the controls a short and clear click when pressed.
The controller also has Dual Mode Triggers. Players can choose between short-travel micro-switch triggers or full-travel triggers that use TMR sensors. This makes it easier to set up the controller for different types of games.
TMR sticks and lots of customization
The Raikiri II Pro comes with hot-swappable TMR joystick modules. These are designed to provide stable input while helping reduce the risk of traditional joystick drift.
ASUS includes two sets of joystick modules with the controller. The default set uses 120gf of resistance, while the extra set uses 50gf. Players can therefore choose between a firmer or lighter joystick feel.
There are also four removable rear buttons and two extra claw bumpers. These controls can be remapped along with the four face buttons, giving players more ways to reach important commands without moving their thumbs from the sticks.
A built-in full-color display makes some settings easier to change directly from the controller. Users can adjust things such as button assignments, vibration strength, joystick calibration, lighting and screen brightness. The controller can also store up to five profiles.
For deeper customization, ASUS offers its Gear Link software. It provides detailed button mapping and joystick sensitivity settings, along with a Turbo mode that can repeatedly activate a button while it is held down.
Long battery life
Battery life is another major feature of the Raikiri II Pro. ASUS claims up to 79 hours of wireless gaming on a single charge when using 2.4 GHz wireless at 1000 Hz polling, with the display, vibration and RGB lighting turned off.
The controller also comes with a portable protective charging case and a charging stand. Other accessories include four rear button cover plates, a module removal tool, two TMR joystick modules and two detachable joystick caps.

The ASUS ROG Raikiri II Pro is available in black and white. It is currently sold in Germany, Austria and Switzerland for a recommended price of €219.90 or CHF 219.90, including VAT.
