ASUS ProArt P14 with RTX Spark starts at 24GB memory

Asus ProArt P14
ASUS has detailed the ProArt P14 with NVIDIA's RTX Spark, starting at 24GB unified memory but capped at Gen 4 NVMe storage and just one upgrade slot.

ASUS has finally put numbers to its ProArt P14 laptop, the first machine built around NVIDIA’s RTX Spark, and the memory situation is actually decent. The base model starts at 24GB of LPDDR5X unified memory, climbing all the way to 36GB, 48GB, 64GB, and a beefy 128GB for anyone doing serious AI or creative work.

That’s a proper spread, not the usual “8GB and good luck” nonsense we’re used to seeing on base configs.

SpecDetails
Memory24GB / 36GB / 48GB / 64GB / 128GB LPDDR5X unified
CPU20-core across all configs
Storage512GB or 1TB base, up to 4TB max
SSD slots1x M.2 only
SSD standardPCIe NVMe Gen 4 (no Gen 5)
ChargingUSB-C, 140W–240W (no proprietary brick)
Included charger140W
Battery90WHr

Every ProArt P14 version gets the same 20-core CPU, so at least you’re not paying more for extra grunt higher up the stack, and Windows 11 will soon let you decide how much of that memory gets handed over to the GPU anyway.

ProArt P14’s storage is where it gets annoying

Here’s the catch. You only get one M.2 slot, and it’s locked to PCIe Gen 4 rather than the faster Gen 5 standard. Out of the box, you’re picking between 512GB or 1TB, with 4TB as the ceiling if you want to future-proof it, though good luck justifying that price during the ongoing memory crisis.

There’s a genuine bright spot though: no chunky proprietary charger. The ProArt P14 charges over USB-C, taking anywhere from 140W to 240W, and ships with a 140W brick plus a 90WHr battery. Small mercy, but a welcome one on a machine you’ll actually want to carry around.

ASUS says its channel partners have already pre-ordered the entire RTX Spark lineup, so demand clearly isn’t the problem here. Storage flexibility might be.
