ASUS has introduced the ASUS Ascent QN10, a very small mini PC designed to handle modern AI workloads without taking up much desk space. The new system uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Elite platform and includes an 80 TOPS NPU for on device AI processing.
The mini PC is aimed at creators, developers, businesses, and users who want local AI features in a compact desktop. ASUS says the Ascent QN10 is the world’s first AI mini PC with an 80 TOPS NPU.
At less than 0.7 liters, the system is much smaller than a traditional desktop PC. ASUS says its volume is 86% smaller than conventional 5 liter desktop systems.
Snapdragon X2 Elite powers the new ASUS mini PC
The main feature of the ASUS Ascent QN10 is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Elite platform. It comes with up to 18 Qualcomm Oryon CPU cores, giving the mini PC enough processing power for multitasking, content creation, and AI based applications.
Graphics are handled by an integrated Qualcomm Adreno GPU. ASUS says the GPU delivers up to 2.3 times the performance of the previous generation.
The system is also designed for long workloads while keeping power use, heat, and noise under control. This makes the small form factor useful for offices, studios, and other spaces where a large desktop would not be practical.
80 TOPS NPU brings AI processing to the desktop
The Snapdragon X2 Elite includes a Qualcomm Hexagon NPU capable of delivering up to 80 TOPS of AI performance.
This dedicated AI hardware can handle tasks such as language translation, content generation, video enhancement, AI assistants, and other applications without sending every workload to the cloud.
Local AI processing can also reduce delays and help keep sensitive information on the PC. This could make the Ascent QN10 useful for businesses and developers working with private data or local AI models.
Designed for developers and edge AI
ASUS is also targeting developers who want to build and run AI applications locally. The ASUS Ascent QN10 can connect with Qualcomm AI Hub, which provides more than 175 pre optimized AI models.
Developers can also use Bring Your Own Model and Bring Your Own Data workflows. These options are designed to make it easier to customize AI models and run them on compatible hardware.
The ASUS Ascent QN10 mini PC can also be used for local large language model inference and other edge AI workloads. ASUS says it supports hybrid AI setups where some processing happens locally while more demanding tasks are handled through cloud services.
Security features target business users
The ASUS Ascent QN10 includes several security technologies aimed at business and enterprise environments.
Its security features include fTPM 2.0 for hardware based credential and encryption protection, along with Microsoft’s Pluton security processor for identity and key protection.
ASUS has designed the system with protection across the hardware, firmware, operating system, and cloud layers. This is particularly important for companies using AI applications with sensitive information.
Small size does not mean limited connectivity
Despite its compact size, the Ascent QN10 includes modern wireless connectivity. ASUS lists WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 support for faster wireless connections and lower latency.
The connectivity options are designed for users who need to connect multiple peripherals and devices or work with cloud based services.
The mini PC can therefore fit into several setups, including office workstations, creator desks, development environments, and edge computing systems.

The ASUS Ascent QN10 combines a very small chassis with the latest Snapdragon X2 Elite platform and dedicated AI hardware. Its 80 TOPS NPU, up to 18 CPU cores, improved integrated graphics, and modern connectivity give the mini PC a strong focus on local AI computing.
