ATK RS8 gaming keyboards arrive with aluminium builds, 8K polling, Hall effect switches, wireless connectivity, and affordable launch prices.

ATK has introduced two new ATK RS8 series gaming keyboards, bringing premium aluminium builds, modern features, and competitive prices to the market. The new lineup includes the RS8 Air HE, designed for gamers who want fast and accurate key response, and the RS8 Neo, which focuses more on typing comfort and wireless connectivity.

Both ATK RS8 keyboards feature a tenkeyless (TKL) layout, CNC-machined aluminium cases, gasket-mounted designs, and frosted polycarbonate keycaps that allow RGB lighting to shine through. Despite sharing a similar appearance, the two models offer different features to suit different users.

ATK RS8 Air HE Offers 8K Polling and Rapid Trigger

The ATK RS8 Air HE is the more gaming-focused model in the new lineup. It comes with Hall effect switches and supports an 8,000 Hz polling rate, giving competitive gamers a range of features designed for fast and responsive gameplay.

It also supports adjustable actuation, Rapid Trigger, SOCD, and DKS. Users can customise key functions and RGB lighting through ATK Hub 3.0 software. There is also a physical switch on the back that allows users to change profiles without opening the software or remembering keyboard shortcuts.

ATK has equipped the RS8 Air HE with an aluminium switch plate for a firm typing feel and accurate key detection. The keyboard also features five layers of internal sound treatment to help reduce unwanted noise and vibrations.

The RS8 Air HE will be available in black and white with Lucid Blade or Ice Blade switches. Pink and Lake Green versions will also be offered with Ice Blade switches, although these colour options will cost an additional $10.

The keyboard has a regular price of $99.98, but its launch price will be reduced to $74.89.

ATK RS8 Neo Brings Wireless Connectivity and a Softer Typing Feel

The ATK RS8 Neo takes a slightly different approach. While it keeps the same TKL layout and aluminium construction, it uses a flexible polycarbonate plate and softer gaskets instead of the stiffer setup found in the RS8 Air HE.

This design should provide a softer and more flexible typing experience, making it a better option for users who spend long hours typing as well as gaming.

Wireless connectivity is another major feature of the RS8 Neo. It supports both 2.4 GHz wireless and Bluetooth connections and comes with a large 12,000 mAh battery.

Despite offering wireless connectivity, the RS8 Neo also supports an 8,000 Hz polling rate. Other features include SOCD, Mod Tap, and a Plus Music Rhythm mode that makes the RGB lighting react to music.

ATK will offer the RS8 Neo in several colour and switch combinations. Black, white, and Lake Green versions will come with Ice Steed switches, while the pink version will feature Anya Max switches.

There will also be a special Arctic Fox edition with Aurora Fox switches. Unlike the other models, this version replaces the translucent polycarbonate keycaps with five-sided dye-sublimated keycaps.

The ATK RS8 Neo has a starting price of $84.98, with an introductory price of $59.98.

ATK RS8 Air HE and RS8 Neo Pricing

Both keyboards are positioned in the affordable mechanical gaming keyboard segment, but they target slightly different audiences. The RS8 Air HE is aimed at gamers who want Hall effect technology and competitive gaming features, while the RS8 Neo offers wireless connectivity and a more flexible typing experience.

With aluminium construction, gasket-mounted designs, and high polling rates, the new ATK RS8 series brings several premium features to a relatively affordable price range.
