ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has introduced two new OLED gaming monitors designed for competitive players who need fast response times, clear motion, and accurate colors. The ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace reaches an impressive 720Hz refresh rate, while the ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace offers up to 540Hz.
Both monitors feature a 24.5-inch Full HD Tandem WOLED panel with a glossy TrueBlack coating. They aim to bring the speed needed for professional esports gaming together with the deep blacks, strong contrast, and rich colors of OLED technology.
The new monitors also include several features designed to help competitive players adjust their displays and recreate their preferred gaming setups at tournaments.

ASUS ROG Brings Faster OLED Displays to Competitive Gaming
For years, TN panels have been a popular choice among esports players because of their fast response times. However, they often fall behind OLED displays in contrast, color quality, and viewing angles. ASUS ROG aims to offer a better balance with its new Ace gaming monitors.
Both models use a Tandem WOLED panel with two stacked light-emitting layers. ASUS says this design can deliver up to 31% higher brightness, 34% greater color volume, and up to 63% longer lifespan compared with conventional WOLED panels.
The displays offer a peak brightness of up to 1,700 nits, a 0.02ms gray-to-gray response time, 99.5% DCI-P3 color coverage, and true 10-bit color. They also support Delta E values below 2 for accurate colors.
The TrueBlack Glossy coating helps maintain deep blacks, including in brightly lit gaming environments. ASUS has also included Extreme Low Motion Blur (ELMB) technology to improve motion clarity during fast-paced gameplay.
For panel protection, both monitors feature OLED Care Pro with a Neo Proximity Sensor, along with an advanced thermal design. ASUS also includes a three-year warranty that covers OLED burn-in.

ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace and Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace Features
The ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace is the flagship model, offering a 720Hz refresh rate for extremely fast competitive gaming. It includes DisplayPort 2.1 with UHBR20 support, providing up to 80Gbps of bandwidth to support its full refresh-rate performance.
Another exclusive feature is the Position Sensor. It displays information about the monitor’s tilt angle, height, and distance from the user, helping players recreate their preferred setup when moving between gaming locations.
The PG259QWS Ace is also the official monitor of the PGL CS2 Major Singapore 2026, which ASUS identifies as the first Counter-Strike Major played on OLED displays.
The ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace offers a similar experience with a 540Hz refresh rate. It uses the same Tandem WOLED technology and delivers the same advertised 0.02ms response time, making it another option for players who want high-refresh-rate OLED gaming.
Both monitors include practical tools for esports setups. Measurement markings on the stand and base help users repeat their preferred height, tilt, and swivel settings. The Quick OSD menu provides quick access to brightness, shadow boost, and saturation controls.
Players can also use the Hue Optimizer for six-axis hue and saturation adjustments. Three esports color modes are available, including presets designed for popular competitive games such as Counter-Strike 2, PUBG, and VALORANT.
With refresh rates reaching 720Hz, ASUS ROG is pushing OLED technology further into the competitive gaming market. The Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace targets players looking for the highest available refresh rate, while the Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace offers a 540Hz alternative with the same core OLED technology.
