Minisforum M2 Pro Packs Impressive Specs in a Tiny Mini PC

Minisforum has introduced another powerful addition to its mini PC lineup, and this one packs a lot of hardware into a very small space. The new Miniforum M2 Pro comes with Intel’s Core Ultra X7 358H processor, Arc B390 integrated graphics, 32 GB of fast memory, and a 1 TB NVMe SSD.

The system uses an aluminium chassis measuring just 195 × 195 × 47.5 mm, giving it a volume of around 1.8 liters. Minisforum says its dual heat pipe cooling system and flow through design allow the processor to sustain up to 65 W of power.

The Minisforum M2 Pro is built around Intel’s latest Panther Lake platform. Its Core Ultra X7 358H is paired with Arc B390 graphics, giving the compact machine considerably more graphics capability than a typical basic office mini PC. It also comes with 32 GB of LPDDR5X-7467 RAM and a 1 TB NVMe SSD, while storage can be expanded later.

Connectivity is another strong point. The front panel includes one USB4 port with DisplayPort 2.1 Alt Mode and 15 W USB Power Delivery output, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type A ports, and a 3.5 mm audio combo jack.

Around the back, there are two more USB4 ports, with one supporting up to 100 W USB Power Delivery input. Minisforum also includes USB 2.0, HDMI 2.1 FRL with CEC support, 2.5 GbE and 10 GbE Ethernet, along with the AC input. A built in SD card reader can reach speeds of up to 480 Mbps.

The M2 Pro is not limited to desktop use either. Its HDMI CEC support makes it suitable for a living room setup, while the compact design could also make it useful as an HTPC or small gaming system. The 134.9 W power supply is built into the chassis, so there is no large external power brick taking up space.

Minisforum is selling the M2 Pro in a single configuration with the Core Ultra X7 358H, 32 GB RAM, and 1 TB SSD. The official MSRP is $1,799, although the launch price drops to $1,439.

That price puts the Minisforum M2 Pro firmly in the premium mini PC category. Still, its combination of Arc B390 graphics, high speed networking, three USB4 ports, expandable storage, and an integrated power supply makes it a particularly well equipped option for users who want serious hardware in a very small package.
