ASUS Gives ROG Spatha X a Major Upgrade With 65K DPI Sensor

ASUS has given its popular ROG Spatha X MMO gaming mouse a solid upgrade with the new ROG Spatha X 65K. The updated model brings a much higher DPI sensor, adjustable lift off distance and a new hot swappable switch system.

The original ROG Spatha X arrived in 2021 as an updated version of ASUS’s older MMO focused mouse. The new model keeps the same basic idea but adds newer hardware aimed at gamers who want more control and customization.

The biggest change is the new ROG AimPoint Pro 65K sensor. As the name suggests, it can reach up to 65,000 DPI, while ASUS has also added an adjustable lift off distance. This gives users more control over how the mouse behaves when it is lifted from the surface.

ASUS has also updated the main switches with its ROG Push Fit Switch Socket III design. This lets users replace the switches without having to replace the entire mouse.

The mouse will come with two switch options. The ROG Micro Switch II offers a sharp click and is rated for up to 100 million clicks. There is also a ROG Silent Micro Switch option for users who prefer quieter clicks, with a rated life of 50 million clicks.

Since this is an MMO mouse, ASUS has kept the large number of programmable controls. The Spatha X 65K features 12 programmable buttons, giving players plenty of options for spells, skills, macros and other in game commands.

The mouse also includes an adjustable weight system, although ASUS has not yet revealed the exact weight options. For wireless use, it supports 2.4 GHz connectivity through a magnetic charging dock that also works as the wireless receiver.

Another useful addition is ASUS’s browser based ROG Gear Link software, which can be used to configure and customize the mouse.

ASUS has not revealed the price or availability date for the ROG Spatha X 65K yet. More details are expected as the company continues to show its latest gaming hardware at Gamescom 2026.

For MMO players, the new model looks like a meaningful refresh rather than a simple cosmetic update, especially with the 65K sensor and replaceable switches.
