Gwendolyn has a new voice in Tides of Annihilation

Tides of Annihilation
Angela Sant'Albano, known for Resident Evil Requiem, is now voicing Gwendolyn in Tides of Annihilation after Jennifer English's exit.

Gamescom’s Opening Night Live just gave us the clearest look yet at Tides of Annihilation, and the biggest reveal wasn’t the gameplay. It was who’s now voicing the lead.

Eclipse Glow Studios confirmed Angela Sant’Albano, fresh off playing Grace Ashcroft in Resident Evil Requiem, is stepping into the role of Gwendolyn. She’s replacing Jennifer English, who left the project weeks ago over personal health concerns. Recasting a lead mid-development is never a small thing, so it’s good to finally see a name attached.

A new face for an old world

Tides of Annihilation two-minute trailer drops us into a London torn apart by unknown forces, split into two “mirror realms” and crawling with otherworldly threats. Gwendolyn is trying to make sense of her new reality while the game also introduces Guinevere and Sir Lancelot, so the Arthurian angle is clearly central to the story.

Sant’Albano sounds genuinely invested in the part too, describing Gwendolyn as someone who fights through self-doubt out of love for her sister and her home. That’s a fair pitch for what looks like a very personal story wrapped around big, godlike battles.

Eclipse Glow also confirmed the game will support eleven languages, including Brazilian Portuguese, and a hands-on demo is available to Gamescom attendees this week. No release date yet, but the pieces are coming together nicely.
