CHERRY XTRFY has officially launched the new K5 Pro TMR Compact keyboard, bringing faster response times, improved precision, and a premium typing feel for competitive gamers.
The new keyboard comes with advanced TMR magnetic switch technology, which is designed to deliver more accurate input compared to traditional Hall Effect switches. According to CHERRY XTRFY, the technology can detect movement with up to 0.01 mm accuracy. This allows players to make quicker and more precise actions during gameplay.

The K5 Pro TMR Compact also supports an 8000 Hz polling rate. This means the keyboard can send information to the PC much faster, helping reduce delay and improve reaction speed in fast-paced games.
CHERRY’s customisable MK Crystal magnetic switches are included with the keyboard. Using the CHERRY MagCrate software, users can adjust actuation points and customise key functions based on how far or how long a key is pressed. This gives players more control over their setup and gaming experience.

The keyboard also features hot-swap support, allowing users to replace switches with other compatible magnetic options without much effort. For lighting, the K5 Pro TMR Compact includes an ARGB LED strip that adds colourful effects and gives the keyboard a modern gaming look.
CHERRY XTRFY has also focused on typing comfort. The keyboard uses a metal plate construction with multi-layer damping and pre-lubricated PCB-mounted stabilisers. This helps reduce vibration and creates a smoother and quieter typing experience.
With its compact 65% layout, the keyboard takes up less desk space and gives gamers more room for mouse movement. This can help create a cleaner and more comfortable setup for long gaming sessions.
Joakim Jansson, Director of Product Management at CHERRY, said the K5 series has become an important part of the CHERRY XTRFY lineup, and the new TMR version takes performance even further for serious gamers.
The CHERRY XTRFY K5 Pro TMR Compact keyboard is available now with a retail price of £139.99.
