One of the year’s biggest games is reportedly about to plug the last gap in its platform lineup. According to a well-known industry insider, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.
The claim comes from NateTheHate, a source with a strong track record for accurate leaks. When asked directly about the Switch 2 version’s status, the insider’s response was brief and confident: “It’ll come to SW2 this year.” No window, no official announcement, just that blunt assurance.
Sandfall Interactive’s debut title has been something of a phenomenon. It’s accumulated more Game of the Year awards than Elden Ring managed in its record-setting run, and has shifted over five million copies across PS5, PC, and Xbox. A Switch 2 port feels less like a business decision at this point and more like the obvious next chapter.
When could Clair Obscur Switch 2 port actually drop?
Timing is the murkier question. The back half of 2026 is already extraordinarily congested, with September looking particularly chaotic and publishers understandably wary of launching anything too close to GTA 6.

Gamescom 2026, typically a stage for surprise announcements, could be the moment Sandfall or the publisher steps forward with something official. That’s speculation, though nothing concrete points to it.
What does seem reasonable is that a Nintendo Switch 2 announcement isn’t far off.
