After slipping past its original 2025 window, The Relic: First Guardian has a date. Publisher Perp Games and South Korean developer Project Cloud Games confirmed the soulslike will launch on PC and PS5 on 31st July.

Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 versions are coming later in the summer. PS5 also gets an exclusive retail edition, though that one doesn’t arrive until 4th September.

A Soulslike with its own rules

The game is set in Arsiltus, a world being slowly consumed by a creeping blight. Players step in as a First Guardian, pushing back the corruption through combat. There are over 70 boss encounters to get through, five weapon types to choose from, and twelve skill trees to mix as you see fit. No preset classes here.

The stamina system is where things get interesting. Rather than draining the same pool for both attacks and dodges, stamina here is reserved purely for blocking and evading. Attacks run on skill cooldowns instead. It’s a small shift, but it changes how combat flows.

Progression works through collectible Relics rather than standard levelling. Each one applies a passive effect, and there are over 70 to find, tweaking everything from weapon damage to skill output.

The Relic: First Guardian PC system requirements haven’t dropped yet. With six weeks until launch, they shouldn’t be far off.
