The EPOMAKER Hack70 has been teased as a new mechanical keyboard aimed at users who want to explore the world of ortholinear layouts without spending heavily on custom builds. Although the keyboard has not been officially launched yet, EPOMAKER recently showed the device in social media teasers and a YouTube unboxing livestream.
The EPOMAKER Hack70 is expected to become the second keyboard in the company’s Hack series after the Hack59. This new model comes with a larger layout and several beginner-friendly features that could make ortholinear keyboards easier to use for everyday typing and gaming.

Unlike traditional keyboards with staggered rows, the EPOMAKER Hack70 uses an ortholinear layout where all keys are placed in perfectly straight lines. Many users prefer this layout because it may reduce finger movement and provide a more comfortable typing experience over long sessions.
Based on the early preview, the EPOMAKER Hack70 will support tri mode connectivity. Users will be able to connect the keyboard through USB-C wired mode, Bluetooth, or 2.4 GHz wireless. The keyboard also appears to feature a plastic body with two-stage adjustable feet and a polycarbonate gasket mounted plate for a softer typing feel.

The keyboard is also expected to support both 3-pin and 5-pin hot swap switches, allowing users to easily change switches without soldering. The previewed version of the EPOMAKER Hack70 appeared to include EPOMAKER Creamy Jade switches by default.
RGB lighting will also be included, with per-key illumination visible in the teaser footage. The keyboard appears to use XDA profile keycaps, which have a uniform height across all rows. This design makes it easier for users to move keys around and test different layouts or macro setups.
The keycaps on the EPOMAKER Hack70 also seem to be made from dye-sublimated PBT material, which is generally more durable and resistant to shine compared to standard ABS keycaps.
Another interesting detail is the split spacebar design. Instead of using extremely small spacebars often seen on niche ortholinear keyboards, the EPOMAKER Hack70 includes larger 2.25u and 2.75u split space keys. This could make the keyboard feel more familiar to new users transitioning from standard layouts.
The livestream also hinted at VIA programmability support. The presenter mentioned that a JSON configuration file would be available on the product page, suggesting users may be able to fully customise key mappings and functions through VIA software.
EPOMAKER Hack70 keyboard launch
EPOMAKER has not announced the official launch date or pricing yet. However, since the Hack59 currently sells for around $69.99, the EPOMAKER Hack70 could arrive as another affordable option for users interested in trying ortholinear keyboards for the first time.
