Ghost of Yotei is now running on PC. Calling it “playable” would be a stretch.
Developer Foued (@foufouadi_) shared footage on X of Sucker Punch’s samurai game running in a modified build of SharpEmu, an experimental PS5 emulator. The clip shows the start menu, a 3D area loading in and Atsu walking around. That makes it the latest PS5 exclusive to get past the menus on PC.
Now for the catch. Foued admitted the video was sped up, and the real frame rate is reportedly just 1 to 2 FPS, with broken geometry and textures on top. A separate screenshot of the first boss fight shows 10.9 FPS on an RTX 4090, which is a monster of a GPU. Performance work is apparently planned for later, which is fair enough. Getting the game to boot is the hard part.

A proper playable build is still a long way off. But other PS5 games have improved fast on similar emulators, so I wouldn’t bet against it. Sony closed the door, so the community is building its own.
