Xbox fans will soon have a new collector’s item to add to their gaming setup. Microsoft has introduced the Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition, a special version of its flagship console created to celebrate the brand’s 25th anniversary.
The standout feature of the new model is its transparent green design. Unlike the standard Xbox Series X, this edition gives the console a unique appearance that allows parts of the internal structure to be seen through the outer shell. The included controller follows the same design language, creating a matching anniversary package.

Microsoft has also added special 25th anniversary markings to both the console and controller. These small details help distinguish the system from regular Xbox hardware and highlight the occasion being celebrated.
While the outside has changed, the core gaming experience remains the same. The Xbox Series X25 is expected to offer the same performance, features, and game support as the standard Xbox Series X currently available on the market. However, there is speculation that Microsoft may include exclusive anniversary-themed software elements for owners of the limited-edition model.
The company is targeting a November 2026 release for the console. Although pricing and availability details have yet to be confirmed, limited-edition Xbox products have often attracted strong interest from collectors and long-time fans.
In addition to the console, reports indicate that Microsoft plans to sell the anniversary controller separately. This would give players an opportunity to purchase the transparent green controller without upgrading their existing console.
The Xbox brand first entered the gaming market in 2001 and has since grown into one of the industry’s biggest platforms. With the Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition, Microsoft is marking that journey with a design that looks back at Xbox’s signature green identity while giving fans something new to display and use.
