Moon Studios just pushed No Rest for the Wicked’s 1.0 launch back to March 2027, and honestly, fair enough.
The game was meant to leave early access next month, but CEO Thomas Mahler laid out why that’s not happening in a video message. Since shipping No Rest for the Wicked Together earlier this year, the team’s been racing to add the class system and the rest of the 1.0 content, and playtesting made it obvious they weren’t ready. Mahler apologised straight up, no corporate spin.
No Rest for the Wicked – Delay Announcement
One more test before launch
There’s a silver lining though. December brings the next open PTR, letting players try the new class system and other 1.0 content before launch. Mahler confirmed it’ll be the last public test before the March release.
Given the game’s been in the works since late 2016, a few extra months to avoid launching buggy seems reasonable. Moon Studios also promised more updates through its Wicked Inside dev diaries on YouTube.
The delay comes with a practical upside too. The Founders Pack deadline, originally 10 July, now extends to 1 January 2027 for PC players, and anyone who bought after 10 July gets it retroactively. PS5 pre-orders open in January, giving console players their own shot at qualifying.

The pack includes a new hideout called Spirit Cavern, an exclusive sword called Sayer’s Vow, a Founders tag, and ongoing access to a beta realm even after launch.
March 2027 it is, then. Here’s hoping the wait pays off.
