PROMISE Technology brings faster Pegasus5 storage to NAB 2026

PROMISE Technology has revealed its latest Pegasus5 storage solutions at NAB Show 2026, focusing on higher speed, better performance, and support for AI-based workflows. The new lineup uses Thunderbolt 5, which delivers up to 80 Gbps bandwidth, helping reduce transfer times and making it easier to handle large files such as 4K, 8K, and even 12K video. The company says the Pegasus series has become a trusted name among creators, and it is now evolving to match the growing demand for faster and smarter storage.

At the event, PROMISE Technology showed several new products. The Pegasus5 R12 Pro reached around 6,000 MB/s on Mac systems, helping smooth video editing in Final Cut Pro. The Pegasus5 R12 was tested on Windows with Adobe Premiere and showed strong performance with GPU support. The Pegasus5 M8 and N4 models focused on compact design, making them useful for creators who need portable storage for editing and AI tools while working on location. For advanced use, the VTrak 8206 was presented as a powerful AI server for tasks like training and high-resolution editing, while the Vess A8340 combined CPU and GPU power to handle video processing, tagging, and subtitles.
