Fortnite’s Chapter 7: Season 2 is drawing to a close, and Epic has confirmed the live event that’ll cap it all off.
Shattered, event kicks off on 5th June at 7:00 PM Eastern Time and will serve as the epilogue to this season’s storyline, wrapping up the ongoing conflict between the Foundation and the Ice King. It’s also notable for another reason: Shattered marks the first large-scale live event since Collision closed out Chapter 3 Season 2, so it’s been a while.
Details on the event’s duration and exact in-universe location are still under wraps, though a brief unplayable period is expected to follow, as has been the case with previous events of this scale.
Fortnite also makes its app store return
Alongside the Shattered announcement, Fortnite has quietly made its way back onto the Apple App Store across multiple regions worldwide. The return comes as Epic and Apple’s long-running legal battle edges toward a resolution, though notably, Australian players are still waiting.

Epic hasn’t held back in its response to the situation, reiterating its stance against what it describes as Apple’s anticompetitive practices. The company pointed to regulatory progress in Japan, the EU, and the UK, while arguing that enforcement of those laws hasn’t gone far enough.
It’s shaping up to be a big few weeks for Fortnite fans.
